My second grade students are very eager to learn! They come from a variety of backgrounds, which contributes to meaningful classroom discussions with their peers.
My students are very verbal and enjoy participating across subject areas to showcase their abilities.
They have many interests and participate in extracurricular activities. My class is a part of the founding students of the school community! They are the leaders of the school and demonstrate how they are the role models for their younger peers on a daily basis.
My Project
My students are avid readers and are flying through the books I have in my library! They are in need of some new books! They love immersing themselves in a good book and letting their imaginations fly off the pages!
Reading is their chance to really explore their interests and read across genres and practice the strategies they have been learning in the classroom!
These new books will allow my students to enhance their reading skills, have discussions with their peers where they can let the characters within their books come to life! Being able to see their faces light up as they read books that interest them makes my job that much better.
