My students have been through so much this year and still always show a vast excitement in learning, especially with hands-on activities. My school is a Title I school and is in a very high poverty area. Our school family does their best to make sure that students always feel comfort and safety when they come to school. My students enjoy coming to school, as it is their escape. It is a place where they can receive a good quality education and even have fun while doing so.

3...2...1... Blast off with BOOKS! Reading is a powerful tool. Please help my students become Reading Rockets! One thing so exciting for a first grader is realizing they can read something that they were not able to read before.
The excitement on my students' faces when they are able to read something harder than before is priceless.
The magnetic letters, sight word cards, and reading activities will be used for independent work during daily 5 centers and for small group practice when working with me at our teacher table. These hands on tools and activities will be a fantastic add to the reading instruction and practice happening daily in our classroom.
