This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My visual art students are critical thinkers who are ready and excited about solving conceptual and visual problems.

Basically, They are all stars.

I want to offer them a classroom that is responsive to their creative processes and needs as budding artists!

My students range from 2nd to 5th grade and are learning at a talented and gifted center! This year we intend to showcase our students' work within the community and beyond! Having access to quality materials allows their creative ideas to be executed .

My Project

Our artists will create a meaningful 3 dimensional art work inspired by memory, what they know or feel with the Balloon Festival being our inspiration. Artists will use acrylic ad colored pencil mixed media process that uses depth to achieve the illusion of dimension within the piece.

The use of Decocolor acrylic paint marker sets will give students developmentally appropriate medium experience that creates meaningful 3-dimentional art within the time constraint of 30 minutes.

They give this project visual life!

The multimedia boards allow students a surface that is resilient and supports paint in a visually aesthetic way. This type of board allows the students a surface to create lasting, quality works of art.

With these idea materials students will be able to focus on executing their artistic ideas!
