Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are a diverse group of learners from a multicultural community. Our neighborhood is a mix of apartments, single family homes, and duplexes. We are a Title I school with over 60% of our students receiving free or reduced lunch.

My students are a wonderfully amazing group who have been together since Kindergarten.

They operate as a family and do amazing things as a team. They support each other fiercely and love to see each other have "a-ha!" moments.

My Project

These LCD writing tablets and stools will make our small group time more environmentally friendly and will allow us all to fit at the table!

Each student will have their own writing tablet to share their thinking during our differentiated groups.

At times, our small groups can have as many as 8 kids. These materials will allow us to all have a comfortable seat at the table without pushing someone else out of the way with a larger chair. The tablets allow kids to quickly show their thinking during math or respond to something we have read. A quick tap of a button has it disappear and we can move on to the next idea!
