I am a 4/5 Combo teacher at a Title I School. Our school is a Pre-K through 5th-grade public school. Here we strive to create an accessible environment for social, emotional, and academic success in order to support students in reaching their highest potential. Our mission is to create educational experiences for students that are challenging and enriching and that extend their academic abilities.
To know your students is to know who they are socially, culturally, and linguistically, along with what inspires, interests and motivates them as students.
I know what my students need to become lifelong successful learners. I take into account and build upon the complex and rich text and background knowledge my students come with by means of their family, culture, and communities. My job and honor is to make those connections, habits, and relevance to each and every student I encounter.
My Project
The Elenco Teach Tech Mech-5 Mechanical Coding Robot and Thames & Kosmos Robotics Smart Machines Engineering and Coding Kits will allow my students to become critical and creative thinkers. Kids who learn how to code today will strengthen their critical thinking skills, will develop logical thinking, and will be way better than others in analytical thinking and in teamwork. Students will increase their concentration and attention levels. Creating and coding robots is challenging. However, working through frustration helps students develop a never-give-up attitude. It imparts determination, which is crucial for any technological or scientific undertaking.
We need to promote the students of today for the world of tomorrow through engaging coding.
Coding with robotics is a way of creating an environment of learning. Robotics is a fun and exciting way to bring fun into the classroom. Help me take my students into the future and the next level of learning.
