Help me give my students an opportunity to develop skills in mastering 21st-century skills and understanding physical science and engineering. Items like the Design and Build Engineer Centers provide endless experiences for students to integrate math and science.

My students are active, energetic, and LOVE being read to. They enjoy being able to make connections between literature and hands on projects in class. My students come from diverse linguistic, cultural, and economic backgrounds. Approximately 50% of my students qualify for free or reduced cost lunch.
I've always strived to create an active learning environment, and with my current class this has become a greater need than ever.
STEM projects launched our school year, and allowed students to make connections across the curriculum. Although I was able to purchase some items to start the year, the kids need more to keep this great learning going all year long.
The Build and Design Centers will provide engineering challenges to students, as they work to use their math, science, and language skills to work together to design and build houses, cars, and bridges. The heavy duty trays will serve as both a work space, and a storage space for the requested items. The Building Brick STEM will allow students who want to explore different design projects a chance to extend the work they are able to do with the design centers.
Working together, students will engage, explore, and create new worlds.
My future engineers will use reasoning, creativity, and logic while expanding their language skills.Students will use models and self created designs to engineer the cars, homes, buildings, and bridges of tomorrow. These materials provide students hands on opportunities to integrate a variety of academic and social skills. The active engagement created by these materials serves to reach all learners. As there are models and chances for independent student creations, every student can feel a level of success as an engineer.
