Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are in transitional kindergarten, which means they are just about to turn five years old between the months of September 2nd and December 2nd. This is their first year of school ever. They are very eager to learn and I want to provide the best experience in education for them. The class consists of children that are ethnically and culturally diverse, come from different economic backgrounds, and are considered at risk.

My Project

Art can be challenging in our current virtual classroom. These creative art supplies can provide engaging art activities, that will allow my students to practice a variety of skills and progress in all areas of development.

Creative art helps children grow in physical, social, cognitive, and emotional development.

Children also practice imagination and experimentation as they invent new ways to create art.

These Lakeshore Learning art kits and supplies will help encourage students to create art at home and while on our Zoom meetings. The booklets will be used for them to create their own stories and allow them to express themselves in a creative manner.
