My students now have relevant and up to date non-fiction articles to enjoy in the class. The articles are fun, engaging, and educational. They aid in their reading comprehension growth. I use them as a UA activity when I meet with my small groups. I also love that this gift comes with digital resources such as extra activities and a Spanish version for my Spanish only speakers and lower level version for your struggling readers. \r\n\r\nEach magazine comes with Skills Builders activities in both pdf and digital form. These activities include short answer reading comprehension questions and and a multiple choice quiz. It also includes writing, for example one of the issues has an opinion writing template that guides students in writing a three paragraph opinion essay. Other digital resources include a Google Quiz, videos, and a Quiz Game. \r\n\r\nAll these activities have me set for a week or two of engaging small group activities for my students. Because of you, our learning environment has been transformed with engaging, hands-on resources that are helping my first graders develop a deeper understanding of math.\r\n\r\nThe magnetic spinner, math manipulatives, and foam and magnetic dominos have brought a new level of excitement and participation to our math lessons. We've used them during math centers to explore addition and number recognition. One standout moment was during a whole group activity where students built number sentences using the dominos either horizontally or vertically. They were so focused and proud of their work, and it was wonderful to see their confidence grow.\r\n\r\nThe students' reactions when they first saw the materials were priceless. Their eyes lit up with curiosity and joy. When I first brought out the spinner to add numbers to it in order to create math number sentences; the students were so excited to see what number we would get when we started spinning. It truly felt like a celebration in our classroom. The tactile, colorful nature of the tools made math approachable, engaging, and most importantly, fun.\r\n\r\nAs we continue our unit on addition and even move into subtraction and place value, these resources will be used in upcoming activities that focus on fact families, number bonds, and math fluency games. We've even talked about creating our own classroom math games using the spinner!\r\n\r\nThank you again for your kindness and support. You've given my students not just tools for learning, but a joyful experience that makes them excited to come to school each day. Your generosity has made a lasting impact.","fullyFundedDate":1746785789682,"projectUrl":"project/multiply-the-magic-hands-on-math-for-gr/9308250/","projectTitle":"Multiply the Magic: Hands-On Math for Growing Minds!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Nodal","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8795194"},{"teacherId":8718781,"projectId":9324419,"letterContent":"The writing center has made a big difference in my classroom!
