One donation can change the lives of thousands! Most of our students have never been to the ocean, many have never been to the mountains and seen snow, and most come from very poor families. Our classroom needs games and activities that can help boost their educational purpose in the world!
This is a very poor school in California.
These students who attend a title 1 school in a low income neighborhood, where crime is a daily obstacle they must face. These are students who have come from very difficult family situations, but still make it to school... School is their safe haven from the world. These are students who come to school without backpacks, school supplies or new clothing. They come to school to learn as much as possible and work very hard while they are in the classroom. These are students that experience bullying in some form on a daily basis. These are students who help raise and take care of their brothers and sisters in the evenings, and becomes a reason homework is hard to get done. These are students that need more time developing basic skills: phonics, math facts, sight words, and language in general. But these are students who with the right support can make a change for themselves and their neighborhood.
My Project
If you help donate to my school and classroom these resources will impact students on a daily basis. The board games will allow them opportunities to review skills learned in the classroom in more fun and exciting ways. It will also help them see that learning can be very fun. The interactive games will be used daily on our Smart board. They will help enhance students abilities at individual levels. All of these games will entice kids to work harder, and work while having fun. All of these games are aligned to our state and district standards, and will help them achieve higher educational scores. If you help support these children, these supplies will be used daily to make a difference in hundreds of little lives, our future leaders of our world!
