Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Working with special education students in a Title 1 setting is truly rewarding. I love helping these amazing kids overcome obstacles and reach their potential in an environment designed to support their unique needs. Resources like snacks and incentives—such as croc charms, pencils, and our Friday raffle—provide students with positive motivation and rewards for doing their best. A calming corner with a comfy couch to relax, a mat to lay on the floor with a good book, and motivational neon lights in our Zen Room create a peaceful space for them to relax when they need a break. Since many of our students struggle with health and wellness, cleaning supplies are essential to help them stay healthy and feel safe. I aim to make our classroom feel like a safe, comfortable haven where every student can focus on learning and growth.
