Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are creative, special, and resilient. These kids have learned during the most strenuous times of the pandemic...and haven't given up! Learning via technology was a must during the "covid years" and it has not gone away. Students are often in front of a screen for the majority of their school day. They need a physical, emotional, and mental health break! In the classroom, it is time for them to feel part of a unique learning community once again.
Our currently learning environment needs an overhaul.
My students have great ideas and we need the materials to put these ideas into action. Students would be able to use the Cricut machine and supplies to give our bulletin boards, hallways, walls, and desks a visual revamp. They could also use the machine for projects, such as including positive messages on the mirrors in the bathrooms. The opportunities for social emotional learning and creativity are endless!
The materials in this project will allow my students to explore their creativity.
They will also help establish a positive learning environment and enhance the overall climate of our school. The Cricut machine will be accessible to all learners and will help break down barriers for my bilingual, ELL, and special education students!
