Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach Kindergarten to 24 of the sweetest, most loving, caring, and smart 5 year old kids. They love coming to school to learn, to be part of something special. I strive each day to make each day the best ever.

Our school is 99% Latino and our entire school qualifies for free lunch.

Many students live in multi-generational homes and their parents work 2 to 3 jobs just to make ends meet. I do my best to make my classroom a positive and nurturing environment for them every day; however, due to budget cutbacks, it is sometimes difficult to get the materials we need to establish success.

My Project

My students have the awesome opportunity to use technology daily, however, we do not have earphones. I am requesting earphones for my students so that they can concentrate on their own learning.

My budding little STEAM scholars need to be able to focus!

While we are all using technology at the same time the students either can't hear their own device or they start paying attention to their neighbors screen. The earphones will help us to stay on task and increase our educational goals. The speaker will be used for directed lessons for the whole class. We use technology daily in all areas of our academic day, as well as play classical music during our center time and currently we have to be extremely quiet so we can hear the computer. The speaker will help us to hear so much better!
