My Project

Can you picture your drive home? Most middle school students can't picture what they need to do in order to complete multi-step tasks in schools. Do you remember writing essays? Do you remember all the work you put into writing an essay?

All of my students have learning disabilities and also struggle with their executive function skills.

This means it is really hard for them to read or write or spell AND break things down into smaller tasks. They also struggle to feel the passing of time and often don't use their time well.

Items in my project include visual timers to help them structure their time. Page protectors and wet/dry erase markers will enable them to break a large task into smaller steps so they are able to begin. We will use the science projects to practice this too!
