I have a diverse population of 16 Pre-K students. They come from countries in the Middle East, India, Vietnam, Mexico, and more. All my students are second language learners and come from low-income families. In fact, many of these families are recent immigrants from their counties.
My 3-5 years olds are energetic and inquisitive students.
They come to school with smiles and are ready to learn each day.
My Project
Who loved playing board games? EVERYONE!! Games are the best at teaching students collaboration and good team spirit. They reinforce the concept of the glory of winning and the feeling of defeat. These are life skills we are teaching them in my pre K classroom.
The board games and snacks will be used during our rainy day times to chase all our blues away.
This is especially important and needed during these covid times. We also need some rechargeable batteries for some of our games and a laptop stand to replace a broken one. Thank you donors for all your generous donations!
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
