This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My class of fourth grade students are some of the most special students that I have ever had the pleasure to have in my life. This class is full of energy, always walking into my classroom happy and ready to learn.

Many of my students come from difficult home lives.

There are students that live with grandparents, one parent, aunts or uncles, and even foster parents. Most families receive free lunch and textbooks. We have created a classroom where the students feel safe and in return, they are very determined to succeed. We talk every day about what we can do to be a great person. Every student believes they can be the best.

My Project

It is very important for children to know what is going on in the world around them. They need to know current events in social studies and science. I am asking for a Time Magazine subscription that will include paper and digital access. Time Magazine is an excellent resource that will allow my children to understand and be able to talk about current events.

Students will be able to have conversations and collaborate with each other for true understanding of current events.

This subscription will become a resource that will be used weekly. We will be able to them in whole group and small groups and even with partners.
