Time to Flex It Up!

Help me give my students more flexible seating options in the classroom. The wobble stools and the balance ball chairs will allow students to wiggle and still be productive.

My Students

My school strives to help everyone succeed. Every child in our school comes from a different environment. They all have their different personalities, hobbies, talents and skills. Some are better in some subjects than others are, but they all work hard to be successful.

No matter their differences, they work together and celebrate their successes while trying to learn from their mistakes.

I have two classes that total forty-five marvelous students. Out of those forty-five students, four are English Language Learners, eight are in Special Education, six are in speech, five are autistic, and three receive other resource services.

My Project

I am in a co-taught classroom; most of my students receive some type of service. Many have ADHD and have a hard time sitting still to complete an assignment.

I want to flex up my classroom by giving my students more flexible seating options.

I have started flexible seating in my classroom with my students this year, and I have noticed a difference their ability to focus easier. They love the seating options, so I want to increase their options with this project.

I believe students need the ability to move to increase concentration. This, in turn, will increase students' achievement.
