Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The HPS band program is open to students in grades 5-12. 60.8% of our students are economically disadvantaged and do not have the opportunity to learn instruments outside of their school band program. Students are dedicating their own time, and in the case of purchased instruments, money, to participate in the band program.

The HPS Band program has made great strides over the past decade.

The program has grown substantially both in quantity and quality. These instruments, supplies, and equipment will greatly help us continue to reach more students and provide for the students in the program.

In partnership with our community, HPS is committed to excellence in education and will meet and exceed the academic and developmental goals of success for all students.
