Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach in an inner city public school which houses a program for Autistic Impaired Learners. We have a diverse population of students with various Autism Spectrum disorders.

My classroom consists of eighteen children, two of which are on the Autism Spectrum.

All my students are the most kind and hardworking students you will ever meet. They are so genuinely thoughtful and selfless. Watching how all students accept one another for their unique and beautiful differences is truly amazing. I am the luckiest teacher on the planet!

My Project

TIME for Kids are children's magazines that will add excitement to my Reading, Science, and Social Studies lessons. I am always looking for new ways to peak and maintain student interest in all subject areas. These magazines will assist me in that search.

TIME for Kids will improve my lessons and children's understanding in all subject areas.

They are perfect for teaching current events in kid friendly language with appropriate photos and pictures of the world.

The engaging articles and fabulous photos will excite the children in my class each week. These will truly be something to look forward to.

I have a wonderful classroom full of unique learning styles that must be addressed every year with innovating and engaging reading material. Storyworks Junior magazine will be a terrific addition to the current second grade curriculum. It is full of colorful articles, awesome stories and meaningful assignments that will assure academic success.

These magazines tackle all genres of literacy in an exciting way.

Folktales, plays, poetry and nonfiction selections meet all grade three standards with appropriate assignments for all levels of learning. Storyworks Junior magazines will secure success for all grade two students. We will use these stories in a whole group setting and independently weekly as the magazines arrive.
