This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Dear Donors,
I am requesting funding for BrainPOP and TIME For Kids.
These two programs will really help develop and improve my students' reading capabilities. I have used both programs in the past and have not only seen immense growth in my students' knowledge but also in their reading skills. Both TIME For Kids and BrainPOP are multi-subject-based programs and enthrall readers with their entertaining and exciting topics. Using both these programs to enhance our district-based curriculum would do wonders for my students.
BrainPOP is a great supplement to the 4th and 5th grade curriculum. The program helps explain standards to students while engaging them in videos and visual aids. In addition, there are resources and activities for students to practice their skills using the BrainPOP resources. Additionally, the program has lesson plans that help delve further into a topic. This program would help my students access new ideas and reinforce skills.
Time For Kids is the second program I am hoping to have funded. This program is also an amazing reading resource that is based on current topics and events. Each month's issue has a relevant topic to read about, answer questions, and create meaningful discussions. I would love to use this program in my classroom to help foster those deeper thought processes. Thank you for your help as a donor!
