This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Have you ever tie dyed a t-shirt? The majority of my students have not and this is the perfect way to give them all the opportunity to participate in tie dyeing t-shirts! Our fifth graders will each get to tie dye a t-shirt and wear it to school for field day! Our fifth graders have worked extremely hard this year and deserve a reward! The tie-dye experience is one they'll never forget and they'll have their shirts to keep as a memento. Students will learn different designs and how to fold their shirts to get the desired effect.
