This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are a group of aspiring young thespians who have learned that “the show must go on.” We all share the common mission to grow our theatre program, increase the quality of our performances, and create a community that loves the arts.

My students are so committed to the work and collaboration they do.

There is really no business like show business.

These students are courteous, committed, helpful, and safe. I feel that they are also some of the most deserving. Please show my students that our society values the arts.

My Project

Considering the many things students learn in theatre, I have to constantly adapt and think of ways to make things safe in a COVID world. One of the things I teach my students is stage makeup.

Makeup is an important way to develop character both on the stage and in real life.

This is why my students need these practice heads. It is unsafe to practice doing makeup during the COVID crisis. This is why I want to be able to move away from practicing on live models/faces and start using these much safer plastic models.

With these practice model heads, I will still be able to continue to teach the makeup unit all while keeping my students safe.
