My Project

Our enthusiastic 5th-grade students are eager to embark on a meaningful project: creating this year's school yearbook! This initiative will empower them to take ownership of a significant school endeavor, fostering teamwork, shared responsibility, and the immense satisfaction of producing a keepsake for the entire school community. The students will learn to collaborate, appreciate diverse perspectives, and work collectively towards a common objective, building invaluable confidence and leadership skills along the way.

An integral part of this hands-on experience involves the students interviewing for a coveted position on the yearbook team.

This process will provide them with essential life skills, teaching them how to prepare for a formal interaction, articulate their interest and qualifications effectively, and respond thoughtfully to inquiries. They will gain practical understanding of professionalism and communication, skills that will undoubtedly benefit them in their future academic and professional pursuits.

A key responsibility of the yearbook team will be to capture the vibrant moments of our school year by taking pictures at special occasions. This will cultivate their observational skills, attention to detail, and artistic vision as they learn about composition, lighting, and the art of capturing the essence of a moment.

To fully realize this exciting project and empower our young yearbook team to document the school year through their unique perspectives, we are seeking funding for a digital camera. This Canon camera will enable them to learn practical photography skills and create a yearbook that truly reflects their experiences and the spirit of our school. Your generous contribution will directly support these budding photographers and storytellers, providing them with an invaluable learning opportunity and helping them create a lasting treasure for our school community.
