My students love to read. Reading has allowed them to travel the world and learn about various cultures and events from the comfort of my classroom. As a new(ish) teacher, my classroom library is full of amazing "hand-me-downs". I am very thankful for the books that I do have, however, I want to share with my students my favorite books. I want to fill my classroom library with books containing historical references, life lessons, award-winning illustrations, and so much more. The books that I want to add to my class will teach perseverance, diversity, and compassion. My goal is to teach lessons beyond the standards.
