My Project

I am an advocate for providing strategies inspiring resources to assist the future generation of leaders to promote inspire them in recognizing the importance of Mental Health.

Promoting positivity in our schools in a critical factor in the success of mental health for our students.

Many of the students come from low-income families and looking for resources to assist them in coping with daily life.

With bullying reaching epidemic proportions, esteem issues, and helping children to find their way post-pandemic, it is critical for students to have resources that will help them to become social emotionally thriving children.

Students come into the office space daily asking for stress balls or hard candy as calming resources and a way to escape from whatever they are feeling at that moment in time. Some students are asked to jot their feelings down in that moment. It would be great to allow students to be reflective in their own personal journals, which emphasizes a safe space to capture their thoughts and emotions.

These resources will help to improve student behavior and, thereby, academic outcomes by developing, fostering, and reinforcing positive mental health strategies and resources. It is my desire to be able to provide them for our students.
