ThriveSpace: Building Environments To Foster Success

Help me give my students an electronic fan, snacks and motivational visuals to ensure a comfortable, inspirational, organized and engaging classroom environment experience.

My Project

A core factor in a student's learning experience is their learning environment. When entering the classroom students need to feel as though they are in a safe space where they are encouraged to grow regardless of how their path for learning may look. Whilst verbal affirmations given by the teacher are always beneficial, I want to go the extra mile with my students' inspiration. In order to ensure students feel welcome and encouraged in the classroom setting, the inclusion of visual aids with inspirational affirmations helps remind students of their potential. Encouragement and empowerment can feel constrained when the focus feels like it's only towards achieving a specific performance such as a percentage or a letter grade.

Thus, my goal for the ThriveSpace: Building Environments to Foster Success project is to ensure students have the constant visual reminders in the classroom to help push their belief in themselves and their ability to achieve greatness.

Additionally, I want to reward my students throughout the learning process as well to show them that I recognized and appreciate their efforts throughout the process. The inclusion of physical incentives such as fidgets and snacks that students appreciate can help them feel as though they can combine out of class enjoyments with the learning experience. Thus, these resources in the ThriveSpace project will help enhance the learning experience for students and build a growth mindset that goes beyond the classroom walls.
