My Project

The materials I am requesting will make a major difference to my student’s educational experience. My students are Deaf and Hard of Hearing. They learn by hands on experiences and visuals. Every year I try and decorate my classroom in a different theme. We spend all year learning in depth about whatever theme is chosen.

The 2024-2025 school year we are going to the poles!

Half my class will be Antarctica and the other half will be the Arctic. In doing this my kids will learn about the different poles. What animals live there, their adaptations to survive, the reasons the poles get 24 hours of sun and 24 hours of darkness for a period every year, how the suns track across the sky differs to what we see, what the northern lights are and what causes them, and so much more.

The materials I am requesting, such as the light projects, books, and light covers can make this experience possible!
