Our students from northwest Indiana are energetic, ambitious, and dedicated. They love to be challenged and be given the opportunity to create and showcase their many talents.
Our students are inquisitive, thoughtful, active, and joyful learners!
We love to be hands-on, work together, problem-solve, and we are excited to do it. Our 300+ students in grades K-6 are eager learners who delight in outside-the-box learning experiences. They enjoy lessons that are hands-on, active, creative, and allow the opportunity to add their own flair. We learn at a very diverse school.
My Project
As most folks who have been in band know, the beginning clarinets sure go through a lot of reeds. A section full of beavers isn't too far from the truth. Fortunately, this destruction doesn't last and our eager beavers make some remarkable improvements in clarinet playing the very first year of band.
We have the great privilege and opportunity to offer band and instruments, as needed, to every single one of our 6th grade students in our 8 elementary schools.
Supplying the reeds can get a little tricky if, like this year, 80 of our 6th grade students choose to play the clarinet. Reeds that are in good shape, free from chips, and do not have mold, are currently in demand in our beginning band program. This supply of new reeds would allow all 80 students to continue their great progress and playing as we prepare for our next concert in March.
