Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Not having enough resources hinders a child’s opportunity to learn. In order to break that cycle it is necessary to provide students with as many materials/resources as possible so they do not fall behind.
What makes my students special is that they are eager to learn.
They love engaging in new materials/books/activities and are naturally curious about the world around them. Their eyes light up every time I bring something new that adds to our classroom. My overall goal is to help grow their eager minds and prepare them to be successful.
My Project
For this project I would love to include multicultural people and crayons as part of our All About Me learning. It is important and crucial for students to see themselves and identity represented in the school environment.
Our All About Me theme allows for students to explore who they are.
Culture, identity, and background are important for self representation and understanding of students as a whole. For this reason, the multicultural people and crayons would be an asset to have in the classroom because students would be able to not only see themselves but utilize crayons that also reflect their skin tones. It would also allow for them to have an understanding of other cultures and people in our society.
