Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Although my students experience Autism, it doesn't stop them from participating in our activities. I love watching their enthusiasm and seeing the progress that they make. It thrills my heart to see them enjoying participating in our classroom with their peers.

My Project

We read the stories within the classroom together, and the books will be used for them to read at home with their families.

During independent reading time, my students will be able to choose their favorite books to read independently on their own.

My students will also have the opportunity to practice their articulation skills when they read out loud, as many of them also receive speech and language support services to help them to enunciate.

Funding this project will help my students in so many ways to achieve their literacy goals.
