Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach English Language Learners in grades 7 and 8. These middle schoolers are given a test every February called WIDA Access. The results of this test determines if they are ready exit the program.
It is really important to the students and they have worked really hard to prepare.
I want to be prepared with certificates and seals to commend their language growth and celebrate those who are ready to exit the program. We are going to combine classes and have a celebration so the name tags are to help students become acquainted and to divide in to teams. The shredder is not as exciting as a celebration. It is needed to destroy sensitive testing materials.
