My students are preschoolers with moderate to severe autism and other special needs, including Speech and Language Impairment. These students come from a large district and over 80% receive free or reduced-price lunch. Parental involvement varies but it is my goal to help all students regardless of home life. My students backgrounds are very diversified.
My students are kind, curious, and bright children who love to learn.
I am excited to teach them skills to better promote their learning and prepare them for an inclusive setting for kindergarten.
My Project
The Children's Factory Cube Chairs will allow my students to successfully participate in our morning circle and whole group activity time. My students require explicit instruction and very specific materials to better generalize skills. These chairs will help us drastically cut-down on transition time and better manage our physical boundaries with neighbors.
These chairs will help my students who may have physical needs that require more support than other seating surfaces can offer.
The chairs can be kept at our carpet so that my students do not need to drag their desk area chairs to the carpet for our meetings.
By helping with this project you will help me give my students a chair that can help learn their space. Thank you, Ms. Hope
