Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school went from 400 to 900 students over the summer due to the demand for a high-quality, college-preparatory school in our neighborhood. In our neighborhood in West Dallas, for many of our families, their student will be the first in their family to graduate high school, let alone college! The path to college and beyond begins in primary school in creating a lifelong love of learning. Many of my scholars are English language learners. The path to success starts with having fun while learning!

My Project

My students need games to help get them engaged in the learning process. These games can serve many purposes in our classroom. They can be used alongside task cards to allow students to learn and have fun at the same time! They can be used in both reading and math. Simple games like these also help with my English language learners. It helps them to be able to following simple directions, numbers, colors, and vocabulary skills. This will also help give my scholars something to play with on the days that we have indoor recess. Help make learning fun for my scholars!
