My Students

The students at Proctor Elementary school are creative, thoughtful and full of questions! They thrive in a flexible learning environment and love to try new things. They come to school each day ready to learn and take on challenges in order to grow both personally and academically.

My Project

Last year I brought yoga to my classroom. My students loved the breathing techniques, challenging balance poses, and being playful through yoga. This year we are in school, socially distanced and I think yoga mats would be a great way for students to maintain social distance, find a more meaningful yoga practice, and even have a flexible space to learn and do their work! We can roll out our mats for yoga or use them as a personal learning space outside!

I have seen how yoga can positively affect my students work and demeanor and hope that providing each student with a yoga mat will only give them more success!
