Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Please help me give my students a new Third Grade classroom complete with learning games, textbooks, and manipulatives.
We have always called Third Grade "The Gatekeeper," as it is the biggest jump students with make in elementary school.
I have been a Second Grade Teacher for the last 2 years, and next year I will be moving into Third Grade, with materials that will be a little too immature for most of my students.
I want to make sure they have everything they need to make an amazing start to this whopper of a year. A start that inspires them to try hard and makes them not only willing, but excited to learn.
I am also the leader of my school's Garden Club, which are mostly Third Graders, and we were severely lacking in materials and funding this year. I want to make sure I can teach my club members about the importance of nutrition, and give them the opportunity to grow healthy food to take home to their families, even in the Winter.
Third Grade will be a big jump for not only my students, but for myself. Please help us have an incredible Third Grade class next year!
