It has truly made a noticeable difference in my students' ability to stay focused and engaged throughout the school day. Many of my students come to school hungry or without enough food to sustain them through long academic blocks. Having consistent access to snacks has helped eliminate that distraction. Instead of thinking about their growling stomachs, they are able to concentrate on reading, writing, problem-solving, and participating in discussions.\r\n\r\nThe donation has also supported my students' confidence in a beautiful way. When children know their basic needs are met, they feel more secure and ready to take academic risks. I've seen students raise their hands more, persist through challenging tasks, and approach their work with a calmer mindset. Something as simple as having a snack available has reduced anxiety and allowed them to feel cared for and supported.\r\n\r\nFrom the bottom of my heart, thank you for investing in my students in such a meaningful way. Your generosity has directly impacted their ability to learn, grow, and feel secure in our classroom each day. It may seem like a simple donation, but to my students, it represents care, dignity, and support. I am deeply appreciative of your kindness and partnership in helping create an environment where every child can thrive.","fullyFundedDate":1764781437295,"projectUrl":"project/healthy-snacks-for-hungry-scholars/9936591/","projectTitle":"Healthy Snacks for Hungry Scholars","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Michelle","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9395533_orig.jpg?crop=2390,2390,x110,y145&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1764622810778","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ms-michelle-bje"},{"teacherId":9395533,"projectId":9936865,"letterContent":"The donation of new books has completely transformed the energy in our classroom library. The moment the books arrived, my students were buzzing with excitement: eager to flip through pages and discover characters they could connect with. Having fresh titles made reading feel special and inviting. Students who previously struggled to find books they enjoyed are now asking for independent reading time and proudly sharing what they're reading with their classmates.\r\n\r\nThese new books have also strengthened my students' confidence as readers. When children see books that reflect their interests, cultures, and reading levels, they feel seen and capable. I've watched students choose slightly more challenging texts, persevere through tricky words, and celebrate finishing a book on their own. That sense of ownership and pride is building stronger, more motivated readers every day. Access to engaging, appropriately leveled books has given them the opportunity to practice skills in a way that feels joyful rather than overwhelming.\r\n\r\nThank you for making this possible. Your generosity has sparked excitement, nurtured confidence, and deepened my students' love of reading. The impact of these books will extend far beyond this school year, and I am incredibly grateful for your support in helping my students grow into lifelong readers.","fullyFundedDate":1771014068129,"projectUrl":"project/a-love-of-reading-requires-a-lively-libr/9936865/","projectTitle":"A Love of Reading Requires a Lively Library","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Michelle","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9395533_orig.jpg?crop=2390,2390,x110,y145&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1764622810778","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ms-michelle-bje"},{"teacherId":9615495,"projectId":8983206,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for being here to support me and my students. The face masks were all used, and it made a difference to see students feel comfortable asking for one when they needed it. The headphones were a huge help as well—every student was able to use a pair, either from the new set or from what we already had, which made our learning time more focused and productive. The hooks created a great organizational system, giving students a designated spot to hang their headphones using their number, which has helped keep our classroom tidy and efficient.\r\n\r\nThe primary lined paper has been used in so many meaningful activities. Whether practicing writing sentences or working through math problems, this resource has had a direct impact on improving my students' writing and academic skills. And of course—prizes! Having awards and small incentives has been a powerful motivator, helping students stay on task and do their best. Your support has truly enriched our classroom environment, and we are grateful for every item that has contributed to our success.","fullyFundedDate":1738294070339,"projectUrl":"project/1st-grade-supplies-for-fun-safety-org/8983206/","projectTitle":"1st Grade Supplies for Fun, Safety & Organization","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Lewis","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9615495_orig.jpg?crop=1958,1958,x285,y399&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1722374271327","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9615495"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_107037","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":480,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":63,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":1,"percentWhite":1,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":89,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":83.7,"schoolId":107037,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Benito Juarez Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Benito Juarez Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/west-contra-costa-unified-school-district/benito-juarez-elementary-richmond/107037"}
