Our student council is a group of energetic, creative, and kind-hearted middle and high school students committed to school and community. In accordance with the school's mission, the student council aims to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment in which all students are empowered to become responsible citizens, creative problem solvers, and lifelong learners. With this goal in mind, student council members develop leadership skills by organizing and carrying out school activities and service projects which benefit all of our district students.
Through this project, student council members will employ leadership skills, promote positive peer relationships, and help create a fun and supportive learning environment for all students. This project will offer our students opportunities to work together to solve problems, to think critically, and to communicate effectively - all while having fun!
In Their Own Words
We would like to get a Breakout box with supplies and Breakout EDU subscription. We hope that this activity will bring students (and teachers) together in a fun way, as groups work together to solve problems and review classroom lessons. This resource will be kept in the library for any class or school group to borrow.
As student council members, it is our responsibility to not only lead and represent the student body but to help everyone feel safe and welcome in our school. By providing for the needs of others, we hope to be good role models who demonstrate empathy and compassion towards others. This project is just one way we can be leaders and help to make a difference.
This project is important because we think it will create positive relationships and team-building throughout our school community. Given recent events, we believe it is increasingly more important to help students feel safe and included at school. We hope this project will help to bring people together in a fun and productive way.
