My Students

Our school has a diverse population that represents the multitude of cultures and languages found in the city of Houston. One of the best qualities of our school is our diversity. The children learn to respect and admire the differences that make us individuals.

I want the children to continue to be engaged and committed to trying, inspiring them to love learning.

Fourth grade math is hard.

Our children come to school excited to learn. They are enthusiastic, creative, and energized. Like all children, they are very motivated by new learning and hands on activities. The students are fourth graders who should be exposed to the joy of discovery.

My Project

Having two Osmo kits available during station time or small group, will enable my students to work cooperatively, think critically, and develop their visual spacial skills. The enthusiasm generated by this station will increase student learning by keeping them on task. Their lives will improve because they will begin to develop "grit."

Your donations will enable students to develop their communication skills by using vocabulary, which will be posted, to help each other solve problems in math and science.

Osmo will combine the use of a tablet with manipulative so that students can construct an understanding of a concept. Feedback will be given so that students can self-correct.
