My Students
I teach in an elementary school nestled in the mountains of far Southwest Virginia, that has a high number of students living in or near poverty. Many of my students have only the basic needs at home. Many of my students have focus and attention issues, which lead to many learning difficulties. Keeping them engaged in lessons is a daily challenge. I want to provide them with tools that will make all lessons interactive and full of personal response opportunities.
My Project
My students are very active and focus is an issue. Lack of focus creates learning difficulties. In order to make learning more interactive, I want to provide my students with dry erase dots for their table along with dry erase markers. Students will be able to write directly on the spots on their table which will give personal response opportunities to all students for all assignments. Spots are easily wiped clean and reused for each new learning opportunity. By making our work more interactive and hands on, students will be more interested which will improve both focus and learning in the classroom!
