This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

I am so proud of my students and the progress they are making in reading! They began the school year as pre-readers, and they are now reading! They have worked so hard to become readers!

Fly Guy and Pete the Cat books are the most requested books!

They are early readers, so reading them boosts my students' confidence. As their confidence increases, so does their motivation to increase their reading abilities.

As my students continue to improve their reading, they will become confident readers who find success and pleasure in reading!
