Calming tools and books that teach students how to understand and cope with their feelings have a significant and measurable impact on student learning, behavior, and overall school climate.\r\n\r\nThese resources directly support learning by reducing classroom disruptions and increasing time on task. Students who are able to calm themselves are more prepared to listen, participate, and persist through academic challenges. Teachers report fewer behavioral escalations and smoother transitions when students have access to tools that help them self-regulate. Instead of removing students from instruction due to emotional outbursts, educators can guide them toward calming strategies that allow them to rejoin learning more quickly and confidently.\r\n\r\nBooks that teach emotional literacy play a critical role in this process. Through relatable characters and real-life scenarios, students learn to identify emotions, name what they are feeling, and see positive examples of coping strategies in action. This shared language around emotions helps normalize discussions about feelings in the classroom, fostering empathy and understanding among peers. As students grow more emotionally aware, they become better equipped to resolve conflicts, collaborate with classmates, and build healthy relationships.\r\n\r\n Calming tools and emotional learning books are not supplemental extras; they are essential supports for effective learning in my classroom. By addressing students' emotional needs, these resources create the conditions necessary for academic engagement and success. Thank you for supporting my students to become stronger learners, and create a positive school climate.","fullyFundedDate":1758825982943,"projectUrl":"project/help-i-need-to-calm-down/9430778/","projectTitle":"Help!
