Deep in the heartland of Silicon Valley rests a beautiful campus full of happy energetic students who come to school each day eager to learn in a meaningful learning environment. The students at my school inspire me to create lessons and be an innovative teacher that will spark their imaginations, add to their life schema, and help prepare them for the world of the 21st century. I am proud to help students do their best...whether it is learning the language, picking up comprehension skills that will enhance the reading experience, solving rigorous math problems, expressing themselves through the arts, experimenting to challenge an idea, or having fun throughout the experience.
My Project
During independent practice and skill development, the students will use the OSMO based online applications along with the hands-on manipulatives to build a greater understanding and mastery of a myriad of mathematical concepts.
They will practice using money with a virtual pizza restaurant that uses tactile money and fraction pieces, be in a band with a musical coding app, and train on learning addition and subtraction facts with a numbers app that uses number tiles and math symbols to solve problems.
I cannot wait to see my students explore these fun mathematical concepts while applying them to real world situations.
