Help me give my students lockable storage cabinets and locks for items that will be used in our financial literacy initiative.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am honored and humbled to have the opportunity to play a part in shaping the future of one hundred and sixty-five students. I have fallen in love with the way my students appreciate everything they are given. It has made me a better person and teacher. This motivates me to try to expose them to as many opportunities as I can. Their determination is truly special and it has inspired me to teach them new things for the next generation of pioneers.

I want to remind my students that success is not a number!

On paper, ninety-four percent of my students are economically disadvantaged, forty percent of them are English language learners, and thirteen percent have a learning disability, but this is not who they are.

Our school is located in an impoverished neighborhood, but my students' eagerness to come to school and learn is contagious, and they are encouraged to rise above their circumstances.

My Project

My students are learning about financial literacy this year using a real-life approach. In order to bring this initiative to life I will be creating a store. I desperately need places to safely put items that can be easily accessible and visible to my students. This project will provide 3 storage cabinets that can be locked. With your help I will be able to maintain an organized environment for my students as well as protect the items that the students will be able to obtain as part of our financial literacy initiative. Thank you for being the one to make a difference in my students lives.
