I am a special education teacher for students with multiple disabilities. These students range from kindergarten to 2nd grade. These students are taught utilizing a modified curriculum with a focus on life skills. They all love to learn and strive so hard to be independent in the school setting. The students receive many related services to help them be more successful in the classroom. Many of the students love to learn and enjoy the structure of the classroom.
These students teach me so much as I get the opportunity to teach them!
They teach me daily to love, live and laugh. They are 11 amazing students who offer hugs, forgive quickly and bring out the best in each other. These students are wonderfully made and are truly a gift to me. They are my heroes!
My Project
Each student was given a Chromebook to use during remote or hybrid learning. However, the students struggle with using the touch pads on their Chromebooks. It is extremely difficult and many students cannot isolate one finger when using the Touchpad. In the classroom, a mouse is used to navigate the internet which makes it easier to generalize when using the Chromebooks at home.
By donating to our project, you will help the students to be able to access the internet by utilizing a mouse on their Chromebooks and this will help to increase their learning online.
The computer stand will also allow me to teach utilizing multiple computers on a very small table. These items are extremely necessary to make learning more successful and fun!
