This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
As a Pre-K teacher in a Title 1 school, some of my students are faced with challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the challenges they face, I am always looking forward to making their first year in school exciting and meaningful. Everyday we provide them with creative and meaningful learning experiences.
Pre-K students are excited about coming to school to learn.
We want to help them continue to be excited by providing them with fun and engaging activities that connect with our themes. I am in the process of closing out a great school year and I have noticed there are certain things that my classroom still lack to help engage our students in learning based on the themes that we will be implementing through out the year.
My Project
We are required to do 6 studies throughout the school year and at the same time we have the opportunity to explore different themes though out the year along with the required studies to. I am requesting different theme boxes which will provide us with hands on materials to help teach and engage students in learning. Some of the theme boxes that I am requesting are as following 5 senses, All about me, Family and etc. These theme boxes will be great for the beginning of the year because it helps us to explore more about the students and their family. The alphabet and number theme boxes will help us explore and enhance learning pertaining to basic math and literacy skills that we will be teaching at the beginning of the year.
