Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Every year my students put on a full length spring musical. We start our auditions in September and rehearse every day until our final bows in March. My students even come in on Saturday to perfect their craft. From auditions to dance rehearsal to our final performance, I watch my students grow and improve their skill.

This project will allow my students to document this amazing journey!

Thanks to the amazing donors on donorschoose, we received our iPad. We will use this to create our end of the year video. This will also be an amazing experience for my students to learn about the art of videography and video editing. I want my students to have a well-rounded experience in theater. The 2 camcorders and accessories will allow my students hands on experience with video recording, and give more students opportunity to participate in the theatre club beyond the stage.
