Help me give my students a great book that talks about the end of second grade just like we are currently going through. There are so many great takeaways from this book I recommend it to any reader.

My Students

I have a great class this year and they work so hard. We are challenging ourselves by reading chapter books. Even when the task is challenging they persevere and keep trying. I have a very even class with 11 boys and 11 girls. We are a title one school and don’t have a budget for resources and exciting chapter books.

My students love learning and reading and I can’t wait to present them with our next reading adventure!

It has been a great year and I would love to end this year with a great book!

My Project

The Year of Billy Miller is a great inspirational book about an end of year adventure. It takes place at the end of second great which is exactly where my students are.

It is a challenge to inspire students and get them to love reading by introducing them to new books that they can relate to and providing each with their own book I get to see their love of reading grow!

I was able to find two books from the local library. This does not excite the student and it is very difficult to share. I could make copies but the students feel bad having to read off a printed page and they lose interest quickly. I am so excited to go on this journey with my students and would love for each one to get a book.
