Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My students have a thirst for learning that certainly sets them up for success! The living conditions try to set up obstacles, but most of my students learn how to persist, even in the face of adversity. Being able to quietly replace some needed supplies certainly keeps their human dignity intact instead of feeling like a charity case. I always mention that someone out there supports us and believes in us when I hand them the supplies, so that adds to the joy.
