My Project

I teach first grade students at a STEMM Magnet school. I want to highlight female innovators and leaders to inspire my students. I want them to see how these women were leaders in their respective fields, and bring awareness of those fields to my students.

It is important to me that my first grade students learn about strong women.

My students are from a lower socio-economic status and these books provide access to new information and experiences. My students are early readers and these books bring a new genre to our library.
