The classroom I currently teach in is located at a school on a military base. From a very young age, these children are used to moving around the world and possibly having a parent gone for long periods of time. Being on a military installation gives our school a diverse population of learners with many different experiences.
My classroom is a place of stability for my class of kindergarteners.
Despite what changes may be in store for them, they can look forward to coming to our classroom community to learn each day.
My Project
My kindergarten students love to utilize technology. Many of them have access to tablets, computers or their parents' phones at home. They should be able to use the same at school, right? With a class of 18 students, it is hard to make sure everyone gets equal access to technology with 2 working desktop computers.
Having classroom iPads will allow my students to utilize technology much more frequently.
Having this technology will help our class to practice skills learned in lessons, show what we have learned in different ways and research topics we are learning. Bringing the same technology used at home into the classroom will help my students to be further prepared for the rest of their schooling and for the future.
