Help me give my students an outdoor play experience that will enhance the education our students are receiving in kindergarten, through a cozy cabana and outdoor market.

My Project

Early childhood students are the most curious, inquisitive, and delightful kids. To best meet their needs, schools should incorporate as much play as possible. Therefore, we are trying to make our playground more engaging and stimulating, with more options for our students.

Our playground equipment provides an opportunity for gross-motor play, but we'd love to add this cozy cabana for quiet play and the market for dramatic play.

Children can build relationships as they engage in role-playing scenarios and relax together in the cozy cabana. The opportunities for language development are really important as well, as we have quite a few students who need more conversation due to being relatively isolated during the pandemic. The cabana will also provide another shaded area as we head into a South Carolina spring. The benefits of improving our outdoor play area are endless!
